Instructed by client Ampurius Nu Homes, Jerome Shapiro acted in the acquisition of land in Creekside, Deptford, London SE8 for the construction of a hub for artists and musicians which will include 818 residential units, 35% of which will be affordable.
Fifty percent of the site has been allocated for public spaces, including pedestrianised outside communal areas along Deptford Creek; a theatre, exhibition space, artists' workshops and galleries, as well as extra studios for the Laban dance centre in Creekside, the Trinity College of Music in Greenwich and Creative Lewisham.
WGS has been central to all legal aspects of the negotiations and financing of this multi-million project which is likely to start construction in 2007, with completion in 2010. |
