These are troubling and worrying times. The sudden impact of Covid19 has been felt by all and has caused disruption, anxiety and sadness across the UK. We wish you well and ask that you prioritise the safety and wellbeing of yourselves and your loved ones.
As a firm, we have taken steps to support our staff, clients and contacts in keeping safe. Most of the staff at WGS have been set up remotely and are continuing to offer a fully functioning service across the range of legal disciplines and with limited disruption. We are continuing to offer telephone, Skype or Zoom consultations for all new and existing clients and we are in frequent communication with the Court service and our professional colleagues at the Bar, Land Registry and Tribunals to limit disruption.
We have always delivered a high standard of service and we will continue to do so despite these unprecedented circumstances.
To reassure you:
1. We are regularly attending our offices to monitor post and to collect hard copy documents where required.
2. We have a fully operative remote set up which provides us with access to all emails and our electronic database.
3. Our accounts team continues to monitor and manage client and office funds and settle disbursements where required.
4. All solicitors are contactable by telephone either through diversion from the main office line or have shared their direct mobile numbers.
5. We have (in litigation matters) been provided with direct contact details for Judges and other court staff who are doing all that is possible to ensure the proper administration of justice.
6. We are not in any sense limiting our services and we are open for business as usual and more than happy to assist new clients or existing clients with new queries. We are keen to ensure that Covid19 does not limit or prevent your access to legal services.
7. We are ensuring that we are up to date with the latest government guidance to the extent that it may impact on your rights particularly in respect of your employment rights, your property sale or purchase, your divorce process and your rights to access with your children.
8. We are continuing to act with the utmost respect for confidentiality and remain committed to our GDPR obligations.
